Unit 107

Makani Sands condo #107 is a one bedroom condo on the first floor where you can walk out to the grass and beach. This condo has been freshly painted and updated. The ocean side lanai off the living room is perfect for watching the sunset over our neighboring islands! This condo has a dishwasher, microwave, and all of the necessary appliances. There is a king bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room for an extra guest. Two TVs, DVD & CD player for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Come and stay at Makani Sands condo #107, and make it your home away from home while vacationing on Maui. Other amenities include a grilling station where you can barbecue your favorite meat or fresh island fish on our waterside gas grills. You are also located right next to the heated pool for an afternoon swim.
This unit includes a washer and dryer for your convenience.

  Upon our arrival in Maui, we had planned to stay in Kihei for a period before heading to Honolowai and when those plans didn’t turn out as we’d hoped we reached out to Tammy who helped us make arrangements to book into Makani. She made it all so easy. We felt so welcome. The condo was wonderful. The unit was fabulous. A/C would have been nice but we understand that the price would have been different. The fans worked well and all in all we were delighted.

  The place was great with all the amenities you could ask for. Outstanding view and updated interior. Only issue is the person on the 3rd floor feeds pidgin a couple times a day & the birds **** all over the Lanai & furniture. We asked her to feed the birds elsewhere but no. They live and sleep above 107. We cleaned the poop daily to have it return everyday.

  40f Stayed with a friend(35f). Property had an abundance of useful chattels in the condo itself. Beach chairs, cooler bags, blender, Saran Wrap, plastic cups for by the pool, etc. Property was clean. Could use a new coat of paint, minor repairs so I gave it 4stars. The 3stars is because they did not disclose construction on both sides of condo. There was no ocean access due to construction and half the front area was a taped off work zone. Back side had work zone that cut parking in half so we had to park in neighbouring condo. People/maybe management?? scolded us when we used the handicap area just to unload our groceries so we didn’t have to carry them from a different lot. Pool was fine. Overall, condo complex was everything we needed but we would pack up our vehicle for the day go and tour the island then come home in the evening. We didn’t spend day time at the complex. Not a lot to do at this location. Used the washer and dryer for one load and dryer did not dry clothes but the weather was so nice that it wasn’t an issue.

Hearing AND seeing the surf, swimming in the ocean right off your front lawn and enjoying the pool daily is just the beginning of enjoying this property. The location is perfect to get to anywhere you would like in the Lahaina area with shops and stores close by for groceries, restaurants and gas. There is even a local beach down the road for young families.Breakfast on your own lanai and evening sunsets can't be beat. We'll be back!

  My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Makani Sands. The condo was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The pool was probably 95°. My husband loved it. The panoramic view from the lanai was great for whale watching! We saw them almost every day. Turtles come right up to the seawall and can be seen all day long. The location is quite handy to shopping and restaurants. The only negative I can say is there really isn’t any access into the ocean as the stairs at both ends have been washed away and not repaired. Tammy is the property manager and is excellent to deal with. My only suggestion is that they provide a couple of new beach chairs. There was only one and it was very tired. Overall we had a great stay!

  We have stayed at Makani Sands in unit 107 a number of times and always enjoy it. The property is well located; the unit is modern, functional, and well stocked with kitchen supplies; the area is quiet; the pool is very nice (and the water was quite warm this visit); and the property management ladies are lovely. The beach has been washing away and the sea wall degrading over the past few years but they have done what they can to repair it. It is my understanding that the property managers cannot make further improvements/maintenance until it is approved by the local jurisdiction.

  We had a wonderful time in Maui. Our condo at Makani Sands was beautiful, clean and well equipped! We had a lovely ocean view from our lanai! Although we snorkeled at various beaches, the beach right in front of the condo was very swimmable with sea turtles occasionally gently swimming by!

  Overall our experience at Makani Sands was thoroughly comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived before the virus had hit America and had to leave earlier than anticipated due to Pandemic. The condo had everything we needed, fully stocked kitchen utensils, washer/dryer/detergent and tp! Property manager, Tammy was friendly, tremendously helpful and beyond accommodating throughout our entire stay. She helped us feel safe and secure. We were treated to amazing sunsets, whale tails, spouts and breaching daily, right from our lanai! Very warm nights this year but plenty of ceiling and standing fans, condo always comfortable and we loved the new doors and windows. Comfortable furniture on lanai and sea wall chairs fully used and appreciated. Condo in great location, walking to groceries and restaurants, bus stop right at Makani and ocean front! This virus will past and we will return to #107!

  What can we say other than glowing remarks about our stay at the Makani Sands Condo #107? The place was exactly as advertised, it was a very fair price, easy to find, in a fantastic location and perfect for our needs. The upgraded bathroom (nice shower), laundry facilities, newer appliances and ground floor location were all big pluses for us. The condo was clean, everything worked and was well maintained. The office manager was very friendly. Parking was a little tight but there was always space. I don't know if the spouting and breaching whales and the tons of rainbows out in the ocean are special for this condo... but they were also incredible amenities. I would stay here again. It was tough to leave. Thanks for hosting us in this property.

  Love this small oceanfront condo complex. Sand and surf were right outside our door and we were able to walk to restaurants, stores and farmers market. It would have been nice to have air conditioning in at least the bedroom as it was very hot. The management staff was very helpful and always available.   There is no beach front at this property, pictures showed a sandy beach out front. This was not up to date. This beach has washed away and there is no easy way to get into the water with out navigating large rocks and waves. No AC in unit, had to keep all windows open, lots of noise from hallway, pool and road traffic. The water view is the best thing about this place.

  We chose Makani Sands #107 as the place to relax and celebrate our anniversary, and couldn't be happier with our choice. The unit was tastefully decorated and offered everything we needed for our 10 day stay. The complex is walking distance from a farmer's market, fresh fish market, restaurants, and groceries, and is a short drive to Ka'anapali and Lahaina. The beachfront location is spectacular, and the swimming and snorkelling with resident sea turtles was second to none. The nightly sunsets and views of Molokai from our lanai capped off our days perfectly. The complex is about an hour from the airport in Kahalui, a distance that adds to sidetrips to Hana or the Haleakala Crater, but it is possible to be fully self sufficient and never leave West Maui. We wouldn't hesitate to recommmend Makani Sands #107, and look forward to returning in the future!

  We rented 3 condos on the ground floor. They were adjacent to each other. We took the center one , and our two daughter with their husbands and children took the others. The condos were in excellent shape. The view was gorgeous. Every request was granted. A cot was placed in one condo, and we were able to borrow several fans. The screened and louvered walls allowed a constant breeze to flow through the condos.
  
  The kids loved the sand, warm water, turtles. The pool was clean with inflated floater for the kids.
  
  Our view could not have been better. This was 7/10-7/15. Clear sky's every day.
  
  One of our sons-in law has started saving to return. He loved the laye-back feeling.

  Location is great! Beautiful view, gorgeous sunsets, walking distance to a number of great spots to eat and shop. Condo had everything we needed for our indoor and outdoor living and was decorated nicely. The bedroom windows are located right at the walkway to the elevator, so you can't always leave the windows wide open, although when you do, a wonderful breeze will travel through the place. The onsite staff are very friendly and helpful. Maria and Bert are super!!

  The overall experience was great, however I did not appreciate the board President harassing my family and the two other families we brought to the Makani Sands. An example of this harassment is one evening we were eating dinner at our condo #107 and were eating with our friends who were staying on the 3rd floor. We borrowed the unused tables and chairs from the BBQ area to accommodate 14 people and were told that this was not acceptable, even though they were not being used and that we returned them exactly the way they were. The Board president even had the audacity to take pictures of us eating from the balcony of her third floor condo. This is ridiculous and really disheartening. I have been at numerous other condos in the surrounding area and have never been addressed in such a manner. If this is all this woman has to do then she really has too much time on her hands! I would be more than happy to discuss this matter with her or other board members as this left a poor taste in my mouth. Kevin Gorham

  This condo (107) had everything we needed. Fully equipped. Great new kitchen. Everything was pretty basic in the condo. If you want fancy hotel, this is not for you. If you want a comfy bed, great kitchen and a killer view. Can't beat this place. It is a small quiet complex. Fantastic. We watched every sunset with whales jumping and turtles swimming. Absolutely stunning. I would come back again. Thanks for the great time.
